Receiving to recall

One ledger, from dock to bedside.

01 · Receive

A delivery shows up. Lots and expirations get captured.

Scan the case. Every unit inherits the lot number, the manufacturer expiration, and the receiving signature. No spreadsheet, no sticky note, no "we'll log it later."

02 · Store

Par levels per supply room, not per facility.

OR core, ED supply, crash carts, exam rooms, central supply. Each space has its own par. When you drop below the min, the right person sees it before the next case starts.

03 · Consume

Every unit out gets a patient, a procedure, or a room.

Scan to consume. The system logs who pulled it, where it went, and which lot it was from. That record stays attached for the next five to ten years, depending on your retention rule.

04 · Recall

A bulletin arrives. You answer in minutes.

FDA recall on lot ABC-2421. Care returns every unit you have, every unit you used, and every patient those units touched. Pull the chart, sign the attestation, move on with your day.

What you get

The things your nurse manager keeps asking for.

Lot and expiration tracking

Every unit carries its lot number and expiration date from receiving through consumption. FIFO picks the oldest expiry first by default. Override with a reason if you must.

Recall response in minutes

Search by lot, manufacturer, or NDC. Returns every affected unit, where it sits now, where it went if consumed, and which patient or room it touched.

Par level alerts per location

Set min and max per supply room. Pull a unit, drop below par, the right person knows. Connect to your procurement workflow or just export the order.

Controlled substance ledger

DEA Schedule II through V with witness signatures, waste logs, and shift-to-shift counts. Reconciled in real time, not at the end of the month.

Audit trail your inspectors will respect

Every transaction has a signer, a timestamp, a session, and a reason. JCAHO, CMS, DEA, and state inspectors get the pull they ask for in minutes.

Role-based access with PHI awareness

Inventory itself is not PHI, but consumption events can be. Care keeps patient-linked records behind role boundaries that match your existing access policy.

Care is for you if

Any of these are on your risk list.

  • A recall arrives and your team spends a day calling supply rooms and reading shelves.
  • Your DEA reconciliation shows a discrepancy and nobody can tell you when it started.
  • Expired supplies are showing up in your monthly waste numbers and you don't know why.
  • Your par levels are wrong because someone set them in 2019 and your case mix has changed twice since.

Send us your last recall response.

We'll show you what that same response would have looked like in Care. Fifteen minutes, no pitch deck.
